Alastair is a Czech-Scots band exploring the traditions of Irish, Scottish and Shetland folk music, employing a unique range of styles both borrowed and imagined. The band came together in 2006, initially to accompany the Irish Sisters, an Irish step dance group based in the North of the Czech Republic. Since then the band has created its own niche and regularly plays at weddings, festivals, ceilidhs, balls and other events, large and small, both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
